PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING- Guidelines for Events section.

1. This section is to make reenactors aware of forthcoming events, and allow them to ask questions about them. The thread title should include
Name of event, period(s), location and date(s).

2. The initial post should include as much information as possible about the event, and be edited if details change. Additional posts can be made to draw peoples attention to new information, but repeated 'bumping' is not allowed.

3. This section is not for advertising events that are primarily selling to reenactors. To keep a level playing field with the 'buy and sell' section, people organising events that charge the participants to attend, or are primarily set up to sell goods or services to re-enactors are considered traders. As in buy and sell Traders should restrict themselves to a brief announcement once or twice a year with key news. Traders can if they wish buy a banner and then advertise via the sponsors section.

If there is an urgent announcement (Last minute cancellation etc), then post a separate thread, and contact a moderator to have it made a 'sticky' at the top.
