Hello.
I'm looking for archery groups / clubs in the north east that are suitable for beginners. I'm happy to do modern or historical archery ... although historical would be preferred.
I live in Teesside, but can easily travel as far as York, Newcastle or Durham if required.

Fred Bates is a fascinating man and excellent bowyer, fletcher and archer based in Darlo but who also shoots across the county with these chaps-

Cleadon Archers are in Bolden : http://www.cleadonarchers.co.uk/
There's also Norton Archers are in Stockton, which would probably be closer to you - http://www.nortonarchers.co.uk/index.html
And there's also Durham City Archers: http://www.durhamcityarchers.org/about/
Hope that might help.

Mate of mine on Teesside shoots at Whitby Archery Club. If you would like me to hook you up pm me your contact details.
Those who live by the sword get shot by those who don't.
