Not sure how many of you will remember this gem, but it's finally being released on DVD. Fantastic comedy set in the year 123.

Ahhh but Dave....is it fantastic in a 'I remember this being brilliant 20 odd years ago but turns out it's actually a bit sh*t' sort of way (he says, having lashed out on a box set of Monkey and not made it past the third disc)?

(d'oh, caps lock on) I cringe when I watch Young Ones, though Laurel and Hardy still make me laff

I still love Chelmsford 123, somebody put some episodes on youtube a while ago (they were removed soon after for copyright) and I still found it really funny

Re: Chelmsford 123
I had series 2 taped off the telly on VHS which I wore out. Most of my jokes are still variations on that series. I even quoted it in my A-level Classics exam.
I did some filmwork with Rory McGrath last year- most people there knew him as "that bloke of They Think It's All Over", I was the only one calling him "Badvoc"

Both series are available for free on 4OD via Youtube, so I watched a couple on Friday night.
Still quite funny, but not funny enough to pay for.

Thanks for that, I'll look on youtube again for them
Not sure I'd buy them though either, don't mind watching for free though
