hemp canvas

Post by Chickun »

I'm after a tough, hemp or natural based canvas that is as similar as poss to what would be around in the 15th C and is tough enough to be used as luggage/baggage.

Anybody know of a trader/supplier that carries it, before I start ringing around all the usual cloth traders?

Cheers
Aw, it's not easy, is it?

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

Just thought, 'heavy enough' for luggage? mm linen sail canvas. Ships Chandelers might be even more likely, one in Covent Garden.

Hemp in Avalon 01458 835769 a chap now called Rob to Free Cannabis who stocks various weights of hemp cloth although as you may guess from his name he can be a little distant and 'untogether' man.

You will need all of the link in the address bar before they'll work properly.

That should get you started.

I bought the linen canvas I used for my tent from Cezar, a polish trader, his email is on the members list. And I know a market in Utrecht where you can buy the stuff. but I guess that is a bit too far for you
