My new boy

Meet Pericles, an 8yr old 16.2 Irish stallion.

Fingers crossed for many years trouble free jousting!

Wouldn't you be better off with a shire horse? Knights were heavy.

Ho de ho.

Even Peri above is a bit big to be honest, although his length is fine. So the profile is right, scale is just a bit wrong. But it is literally a gift horse. Not free, but his abilities and potential are amazing. And I didn't want to spend the next 6 months getting on and off mad Spanish stallions across Europe in vain.

If you like I can attach him to the odd rag and bone cart or brewers dray if you like...

Only a brewers dray if you're bringing ale. If not, then joust on!

Those pics are from a while back. He's learnt his trade pretty well now and has slimmed down a good bit. He's had to be gelded as his alpha maleness was giving everyone hassles. But he'll be happier for it.

Massive thanks as always to all the people who have brought him on (Dom, Dan, Steve) and of course Historic Equitation who look after him.
