There is a popular annual event at Ham Hill (near Yeovil), Somerset, every September. This year's theme will be "medieval" to celebrate a Lottery funded project underway to restore ponds and a stream associated with a Deserted Medieval Village at Witcombe under the ramparts of the Iron Age Hill Fort.
The event will be strong on education about local heritage and it is expected that a large number of families will attend.
Living history presenters are needed, with an emphasis on crafts, living conditions, domestic activities of the Middle Ages.

Re: Ham Hill Medieval Fayre 3rd September
HI Mick I saw that this is an annual event and as I live in Dorset, I wondered if I would be of interest? I'm a Hammer Dulcimer and Hurdy Gurdy player, with which I also sing. Happy to do demonstration spots to adults and children, I'm an ex teacher with a disclosure certificate.
There's info at www.damianclarke.co.uk but let me know if you want more. I'm playing Herstmonceux Medieval Festival this year again and I do lots out in Germany. I also regularly play for the people at Leicester Guildhall amongst others.
I live in Dorchester but as you can see I travel everywhere.
I can send music, info and video links.
I'll be playing at Kingsbury Episcopy Mayfest on May 7th if you anted to see me or I have a gig in Yetminster on Feb 11th.
All the best.
