My magic computer says the 2014 jersey explosives regs have no specific loophole for small amounts.... but you can get a generic loophole for anything that the Minister feels OK about.

Basically though your mainland EXPLOSIVES licence means nothing on the islands
everyday i can be an insignificant but unavoidable nuisance is a day well spent.

Don't need one for making amounts that small luckily. As long as I tell the Harbour Master I'm going to be making a wee bit of smoke on the quayside, that's about it.

I've even had to argue the toss with a gent from the constabulary that having enough ingredients to make more than 100g separate but in v close proximity (in pots next to each other) could only be considered an offence if he could prove intent to do harm to people or property.

Update from the Head of Jersey Explosives- All fine and dandy. Its never happened so there isn't any legislation about it saving don't do anything that will endanger life, limb or property.
