ideas and contacts please

Post by 2k6rose »

Hi
I'm wanting to get involved with some re enactment groups. Unsure yet if going with medieval knight or roman legionary.
Suggestions/advice welcome as are group contact info.
I don't have any equipment so being able to borrow would be advantageous tho I can arrange my public liability insurance.
I live in Halifax west Yorkshire

LEGIO VIII AUGUSTA has members throughout the North West and Scotland. We have plenty of spare kit to loan new members, and you are welcome to come along and try out an event without obligation. Please see our website for more information, or get in touch via PM or email.

Hi. There are many groups in the area. Some that spring to mind are Carrick 800 (girvan), Swords of Dalriada (Kilmarnock) and Glasgow Vikings as previously mentioned. Most of the Scottish groups have members distributed throughout the country. There are too many to list but some of the medieval groups include Medieval Realm, Nothern Alliance, company of St Margaret, Historic Saltire and Beowulf. Many to choose from! :)
