This is going to be a stunning event for any Napoleonic types with a weekend to spare. its only 2.5 hr drive from Dieppe, bit further from Calais of course.
At the moment we have excellent UK cavalry going but the organisers tell me just one infantryman. Which might make it hard going for frontal assaults on French positions and, god help us, the Dragoons might have to revert to their infantry role which will mean some wheezy old blokes getting on and off horses with no-one to hold mounts.
So, come and have a great time at an excellent site with some brilliant French re-enactors.

Or email me for a PDF set of instructions. These tactical weekenders are always excellent and the organisers briliant hosts.

http://www.griffinhistorical.com. A delicious decadent historical trifle. Thick performance jelly topped with lashings of imaginative creamy custard. You may also get a soggy event management sponge finger but it won't cost you hundreds and thousands.

First I've heard of this one. Sounds good but I'll be at Waterloo the week before thanks to a bonus pass-out from Mrs W (in addition to being allowed out to Salamanca
) . Have fun.

I had heard that there was no budget for nags and most Cav had, not suprisingly, dropped out. Am a bit worried about the organisation of Salamanca but flight & hotel is booked and paid for so the die is cast.
