Children's Shoes 14th C.
Can anyone recommend a supplier of reasonably priced shoes for Attila?
She's currently a size 2/3 and needs a pair by Easter.
Thanks in advance.

I rent my Spawn of Satan's shoes from Morgan Hubbard for a fairly reasonable amount of money. He has a website which I have at home, so if no one else comes up with it by the time I'm back, I'll let you know tonight if you need it as I can't remember it!
Thanks for the reminder; I'm sure Spawn number 2 needs a new pair as the pair of them cost £62 between them last night to reshoe - owch!

Ive had 2 pairs of shoes for our daughter from Anna Period Shoes. Seriously helpful in every way. Good quality for the price. Seem to last through 1 season well -- that coincides with out growing.
Have you looked at the GDFB shoes? Also seem good value. Seen their mens boots in the flesh & was impressed.

Are the Anna ones the lady who makes 'modern' versions for everyday wear too? They are good, and inexpensive.
Or, a pair of brogues will last a season and can be slung, if you can bring yourself to do it...we still have Aron and Rosie's outgrown ones. (None the right size for Atilla, which is a shame).

Thank you all.
Is that 'Ana' Period shoes, Cat & Type16, or am I getting the wrong site from the search engine?
Gail - Do you have the site for Morgan Hubbard as well, please. I know exactly what you mean about ouch. School shoes - eeeeekkkk!!!!!
Chris and I have GDFB boots and very comfortable they are too, 'tis just the small flame-haired one that needs shoeing and if they aren't right - believe me she'll let me know about it.

Mornin' all! JC Milwr has put the website for Morgan Hubbard - I'd forgotten that Plantagenet shoes was his trading name. I think he charges about £20 per year to join the scheme and then it's extra on top for the footwear, but you can change them whenever you need to and however many times you need to per year. I could look it up on the website, but I'm too lazy! I tend to swap at Tewkesbury and don't tend to need more than 1 pair per Spawn per year.

First year of membership is about £40 depending on shoe size, then the price drops right down for successive years to £22 - 25/year depending on size. Outgrown shoes and shoes requiring REASONABLE repairs swapped for the price of postage throughout the year - unless you can swap at a show, in which case, no charge. Boots and shoes returned cleaned and olive-oiled are very much appreciated. They supply up to age 16 / something like a size 10 depending on which your child hits first. Very nice people.
Ana Period Shoes starter shoes at £47 pair have been very useful to friends' children.

Hi Conan,
Yes, Ana is the correct spelling. Soft & kind on kids feet.

I saw Ana at the weekend. I wear a pair of her shoes and they are soft and comfortable, and was loath to let her have them back for a small repair as I could not bear to part with them. She will do any colour, including gold or silver leather !! (oh I wish). She lives in south Wales now, but will be at the NLHF.
