ok - so someone would have said it and i got in first

why is the commentator using a sword without gloves or helm?

That particular shot was taken during the "Medieval Training" display, all he was doing was indicating to the crowd (and us) what the moves were.

isn't on the field a bit late to have a training session and show the participants what the moves are

It was not for our benefit, all the combatants were well trained (we all adhere to the EMA training guide), we just wanted to show the public what we do when we train. They rather enjoyed it, and so did we.

mind you him running up behind the fighters dureing a mailey (how ever you spell it) and hitting them is not really a great idea is it? and thats what he was also doing with no helm or gloves.. what if a fighter responderd and he got hurt.. who would be to blame?

he seems a nice guy thro.
