The 'must see' exposition of the decade- if not the best since 1477.

And I'm going for the 24/7 immersion in it. Accompanied by the best 1470's European Living History display and more ....

More to follow.

I think we might manage to visit this. We'll have a few days to spare in that vague area of Europe this summer.

Thanks for the alert.

Awesome - so much so that I cant do it justice here.

The guide book to the exposition is in French- but is coming out in English when the exposition moves to Bruges.

Hoping we are invited to take the LH/ joust there- and poss Vienna as well [fingers and all extremities crossed...]

Some of the highlights
The hat of Charles the Bold - must be seen to be believed!

The Caesar tapestries [each one 30' x 12', there are 6], paintings, gold, jewels, armour, original banners, reliquaries, processional crosses, tableware, books, the gothic maces, the purse with a clasp in the form of a small city, cannon, seals, documents,

One silver-gilt ewer states on its description " one of 70 displayed on his sideboard".....

The guidebook will be at Pensthorpe this coming weekend....... :)

Just superb. see it if you can.

It was that good (the exhibition that is - can't say about the joust etc as we weren't in the right place at the right time for that). In fact it was so good, we're considering a trip to Brugge next year to see it again. We also have the catalogue (in French) - just couldn't wait a year for the English version.

jelayemprins: do you have any photos of the event?
