Pathfinder

Something which will probably interest the 'Viking' types:

Any thoughts?

There're bound to be explosions in it. There are always explosions in American made, pre-gun powder historical films. And, I bet they call the river that runs through the area where new york is the Hudson. And they will call the Native American village 'New Jorvik'.

Sigh. Anyone looked at that production still? That's not a Viking. It's an Orc with (slightly) less makeup. It's got plate armour. It's got fur. It's got a flail.
I can see HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody who has played the PC/Xbox/playstation game Rune will recognise the Kit, the Helmet is the same as is all the other stuff.

As for the 'Native american' Guy, he looks more like Conan, and why is he fighting with a sword. And why is the 'Viking' fighting with a Morning star flail.
And why, and why and why.

And some people had the cheek to slag off the canadian Beowulf's kit.

Personally I think they're lucky your all nice people, otherwise it would be entertaining to show them how real vikings fight...

Also why is the minotaur there?

Its Narnia gone right!

Judging by the completely unknown cast this shoud go straight to DVD if it gets distribution at all.

This will be a very good thing I think.

I don't know - might be entertaining to get a copy so everyone can watch and drink at an event!

Reckon it's safe to say you can kiss any chance of authenticity goodbye:

Fingers crossed it has the same feel as '13th Warrior'

Probably both: It'll be the sequel where Maximus finds out that Alexander is his father!

Whereas this fim called Pathfinder from 1987 is quite watchable- a Saami legend about having to fight off evil bad men who want access through a pass in the high mountains.

To be fair, the cast is not completely unknown. Karl Urban is starting to get some recognition (Lord of the Rings, Bourne Supremecy) and I doubt there isn't a reenactor in the UK who doesn't recall Clancy Brown's finest hour as the Kurgan in the first (and best) Highlander film.
