Who made this?

Postby Medicus Matt » Sat Jan 07, 2012 2:29 pm

I bought this lovely little shield on tongue Anglo Saxon buckle a couple of years ago and now can't remember who made it. Anyone got any ideas. I've checked the usual suspects (Urweg, Gaukler, Holger R etc).

Only 6cm long; nice, crisp casting. Need another two now.

Wasn't George Easton (Mr Danegeld), was it? If not, he is very good and is currently doing replicas of the Hoard.

Naw, tracked it down to a German manufacturer in the end.
