Kings involved in the invasion of 1066
Out of Godwinson, Hadrada, William and Edward which king was the most significant, not just in the invasion, but afterwards the influences they made before and after the conquest.

Don't understand the question, as already said, the Harolds and Edward died in 1066 so their influence ended. William had the biggest impact in messing up the country and making it the diluted French hell hole it is today

Stirring?
Oh you can see, on the hill,
There’s a sign of your lord’s will,
A brand new Norman castle towers high.
So you work, till your spent,
Just to pay tax and the rent,
You’ll never rest now ‘till you die.
Cheer up Saxon reeve
How worse can it be?
Your king’s a Norman bastard
And you’re his property.
You once, seemed so free,
But you’re now on bended knee,
Everything you knew it has all gone,
So you look, to the sky,
And the sun shines in your eye,
The world today it doesn’t seem so wrong.
Cheer up Saxon reeve
How worse can it be?
Your king’s a Norman bastard
And you’re his property.
Cheer up Saxon reeve
How worse can it be?
Your king’s a Norman bastard
And you’re his property.

Have met the Norman camp? They're the ones in the pink tents with glitter on their helmets.WorkMonkey wrote:Even with the volume up the woefully tone-deaf sceechings of the Norman camp would have made the tune unrecognisable.

Re: Kings involved in the invasion of 1066
The question is irrelevant
Godwinson was not a king he was a usurper and lost his trial by Battle
Hardrada was a scando tramp and therefore smelt of fish and lsot to a usurper so thats enough of him
And William yes the bastard son of A duke BUT a successful bastard son of a duke
And whats this singing we are always too busy eating a hecatoon or three to sing

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

Hardrada is still remebered for his earlier exploits aswell as his death.
Edward was later decalred a saint, majour influense on later English royals as a result.
Wiliam laid the foundasions(sp) for what became under Henry II the largest state in western europe (even if it was lots of counties and dukedoms).
Godwinson's death at hastings elivated him to an english hero who will never be forgotton.
Edward is the most signicant if not for his death then 1066 would be just another ignored in history
