Regia have St Cuthbert's Land based in Co Durham (it used to be actually in Durham but I don't know who the group leader is these days). Try their national site for a local contact-
http://www.regia.org/

The Vikings have a group leader based in Durham City and a few members arond the region. Again start with the national site-
http://www.vikingsonline.org.uk/

For C15th try Rosa Mundi
http://www.dur.ac.uk/b.m.hodgson/rosamundi/

You'll also have C19th historic fencers, historic archery, historic musicians, historic woodworkers and potters, Napoleonics, Normans and Romans nearby if you want some variation :)

or the conquest offshoot who train near you

that is if Normasn are ok

if youre living in Easington get a Flak Jacket :D

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

Oo.. that's us....

We train every Sunday at grounds of a beautiful Saxon church right next door to (what's left of) the de Brus manor house - in Hart village at the northern edge of Hartlepool. Send me a PM if you want more details.

Oo! - let me know beforehand so I can arrange with the missus and we'll grab a swift pint or two afterwards at the local :) Life is balance - you'll need to offset that exercise with some liquid calorific intake :)

Biro.

I will be house hunting there soon (ish), maybe we could all meet up, I need the exercise, and maybe you could introduce me to this thing called 'Liquid Calorific Intake…'
