Dark Age groups near Bath?

Postby Aethelflaed » Thu Feb 28, 2008 2:52 pm

Hi all,

I'll shortly be moving to Bath - can anyone recommend any local Saxon/Viking groups with regular weapons practices? As far as I can see there isn't a Regia or Vike group in the immediate area and Google hasn't turned anything else up.

Thanks for any info,

Aethelflaed

The Vikings have a group in Dorset another in Wiltshire. Check the groups directory on the membership page....

www.vikingsonline.org.uk

That might help.

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

There's a chap in the Vike that I know who lives in Bath who comes over for regular training in Bristol and goes down to Salisbury for their training events too.

Drop me a PM and I'll put you in touch.

And I just pm'd you to say 'hello' before reading your second post

We're doing well here, aren't we?

It's good to hear that the Wessex Regia group and a Vike group operate from Bristol - that should be fairly easy to get to. Now I just need a house...
