ROMAN-CELT-BRITISH EVENT 2007 MAY BANK HOLIDAY

Post by jelayemprins »

Hello
I am an established event organiser [and re-enactor 20 years under the wool] who 'normally' aranges medieval events. One of my clients in Norfolk would like me to arrange [guess!] a Roman era event with a cast of approx.100 . I am also arranging the medieval event again for the 3rd year on this site on the August Bank holiday.

The event, assuming we can all agree, is to be either of the Bank Holiday weekends in May 2007. The site is large, beautiful, with lots of lakes, wildlife and trees- but is not yet revealed...
The events usually get a wacky but curious title such as
'A Journey through Roman Britain'

It will involve, and require, the following

Native local tribe- Iceni or similar, perhaps building a house...tba
Roman military displays, inc siege engines.
Religious display & interpretation, both pagan and early Christian
Music
Food & Cookery
possible Gladiator school
Traders
Demonstrations in period crafts
etc.

And yes it pays.

As this is out of my normal comfort zone I would be delighted to hear from you as to availability, costs, what you could provide and your expectations in return. Please pm me with more details, of your website[s] and email address and I'll get back to you.

Kind regards & many thanks

I take it that this is the 5th to 7th of May, not the 26th to 28th?
It may seem obvious, but I've been caught out by the phrase 'May Bank Holiday' once before.
Best, Thor
