We have two of these and are very happy with them, good solid construction, even if it looks a bit rude when you are oiling them up :D

Cheers guys :-)

I have done "spatha" versions as well. Just slightly longer, but not flared at the end. Thought that might be a bit too dangerous and look way to rude. :-D

Im also talking to a guy regarding lead-cored versions as a commission. Would be about £50 for a 2.5-3lb rudius

That sounds like a good idea - I've got a training/double-weight sword at the moment, but it's a blunted weapon rather than a wooden one. Who are you commissioning, may I ask?

Oh no, I'm the one making it as a comission for someone else.

I just weighed the latest batch of swords on a more accurate scale and they are all around 900g - 1kg without lead.

The one I just made takes the weight up to 1.5 kg, but I could go up to 1.8, maybe 2kg

I've just done a "Spatha" version - 90cm long and weighed in at over 3kg!
