So I have been doing a little research and clearly for Augustus the Teutonberg disaster was his worst where Varus lost his legions, but since Augustus introduced the Pax Romana (Roman Peace?) which lasted a couple hundred years I am wondering what was the most succesfull battle for him. I realise Augustus focus was on strengthening the borders and that there was some small scale battle on the frontiers, however since Augustus is meant to have reformed the army in to the 'classic legion' that is s famous i wondered if there was any exceptional examples of the new classic legion showing off it's new prowess.
I won't pretend I have agreat knowledge of any of this but this is what I have understood so far and any help or correction would be appreciated.
What was the most successful battle for Emperor Augstus
