There is no evidence of anything like that being used. The snare seems very medieval too.
During the Anglo-Saxons period drums are written about several times but never described, so what they look like is a mystery. Also there have been no archaeological finds of drums in England during the Anglo-Saxon period. However the word used in Old English for drum is identical to the word used in the Norse language for drum. So maybe English and Norse drums were the same.
In Norse literature of the time, drums are mentioned a lot but never described. However there have been many archaeological finds of drums in Scandinavia from the Dark Age period. Theses, which may be the drums the Vikings and English used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7fT9bz16ds
