Anglo Saxon Lyre

A friend has just mended the pegs on my Anglo Saxon lyre and sent it back to me. Which is wonderful - except that it was broken so long ago that I have forgotten how to play it, and I need a tuning key (original is missing in action).
Now, when I got it, the received wisdom seemed to be that it was played by being plucked from the back, but now all the youtube videos seem to have it being played from the front by plucking and strumming. Does anyone know of the best place to find tunes to follow, since I am not a musician and cannot read music - but there must be something in the way of instructions out there somewhere?
