Up for sale is a very, very rare gem indeed ... Armi e Armature Italiane fino al XVIII secolo by Aldo Mario Aroldi - SIGNED.
This copy is one of only 100 copies that were printed unnumbered, but signed by Aroldi as their identifier.
Most copies available of this book are of the numbered with roman numerals (101-1700); another 100 copies were numbered in Roman numerals from I to C. The unnumbered, signed copies were the first 100 copies and are the most sought-after, and do not come up very often at all.
As to the general details - this book is hardback, 547 pages, and has an amazing variety of black and while and colour images of arms and armour from prehistoric times onwards.
This copy is in very good condition overall: pages are clean and unmarked, with minor bump to top corner of last 50 or so pages. The boards are clean with minor wear and small tear to upper rear corner. Slipcase is clean and bright, with some moderate shelfwear to bottom and minor wear to sides and edges.
I'm willing to part with this copy for US$650. This book will ship from New Zealand at cost, via New Zealand Post's International Courier service, with full insurance and tracking.
