Portable forge wanted...

Postby mikale » Fri Sep 02, 2016 9:34 pm

Looking to buy a hand crank or bellows portable forge to use at events, hopefully not looking to pay mega bucks as it is for small projects suck as arrow heads, knives and other camp equipment as it is needed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

bellows are easier to make than a hand crank blower ( I know where there are blower plans if you want )
if using charcoal one of my forges will be ok with bellows

forges, fireboxes tools and more.

ebay is a good place for bellows but bear in mind to use one for forging it will need to be reasonably chunky. making your own isnt that difficult and if you have the aptitude to forge it shouldn't be too hard for you to make.

plenty of plans ont'web but i like this page as the results lookereally nice.

Tom Armstrong-Frost at Steammhorse just made a set, he's a handy chap for making things!
