Looking for reenactment group(North East England.)

Postby Amhladh » Mon Mar 12, 2018 4:10 pm

Ay up,

Am lookin' for a reenactment group in the area of Newcastle, interested in the 1700s so a group based in that time period would be lovely. :D

The North-East is rich in medieval reenactment groups (my 13th combat group called Dawn of Chivalry for example) but it seems that the lack of answer for your question indicates the 1700's are not well represented. Is it the only period you're after?

Try and get in touch with a chap called John Slater from the TIME BANDITS - who do a whole range of periods.......if he does not know of a specific group in the N/E then you will need to go onto the Facebook pages to find the nearest group - good luck!

Just had a second thought ..... there is the Morpeth Gathering coming up soon (6th - 8th April) which may be a source of contacts for you.

On my FB group called Medieval Combat Enthusiasts North East England (feel free to join), there is a list of medieval groups in the North-East. Some of them have shows this coming week-end for St George's day. It's a good opportunity to meet them and see what they do.
