Sir William Harrington's Companye (15th C)

The Harrington Companye are an award winning 15th Century living history group based in Northamptonshire, but with wider membership across the land (currently Essex, Beds, Bucks, Cambs, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and South East London). We are part of the Medieval Siege Society, and can be seen at their events.



We portray the retinue of the Harrington family, the Lords of Wolfage Manor (Brixworth, Northants) and Hornby Castle.

We undertake Tournaments, battlefield portrayals, and can portray a companye of Pioneers on Campaign from the mid 15th C.

27th & 28th March – Tutbury Castle, Warwickshire

23rd & 24th April – Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire

1st & 2nd May – Hedingham Castle, Essex

25th & 26th June – Kenilworth Castle, Warwickshire

July 9 & 10th – 1460 Battle of Northampton Delapre Abbey, Northants

6th & 7th August- Ashby De La Zouche Castle, Leics.

20th & 21st August –The Battle of Bosworth, Leics.

28th & 29th August – Stokesay Castle, Shropshire

October – Conisborough Castle, South Yorkshire


BATTLEFIELD WALKS

In addition to these events, the Companye also undertakes commemorative walks on the Northants battlefields of the Wars of the Roses. This year we will be walking on the following dates:

1460 Northampton – Saturday 10th July 7pm @ Delapre Abbey

1469 Edgecote – Tuesday 26th July @ The Griffin, Chipping Warden

Both walks will be followed by a well earned pint in a local pub.
