Renaissance Historical Dance Society covers the European dances of the Medieval, Stuart, Elizabethan and Regency periods.

Renaissance is a historical dance society that specialises in bringing to life the dances and crafts of Medieval, Elizabethan, Stuart and Regency England. Our authentic dances provide both spectacle and information, in addition we can offer performances of unique fairytales and static displays, such as medicine, needlecrafts and food. We can also talk to people about etiquette, makeup and period clothing.

Our dance workshops give people the chance to join us in some of our easier dances.

Children can also take part in our craft workshops, making keepsakes such as fans and pomanders.

We aim to make history fun, interactive, educational and visually stunning.

We can be found everywhere from National Trust and English Heritage properties to community and historical events, as well as weddings and private functions.
