Postby Morrigain » Fri May 24, 2013 3:42 pm

Hi everyone.

I'm desperately looking for medieval group near Bristol.
I'm interested in sword fighting and archery.
I've some experience in medieval re-enactment.

I'll be grateful for any information.

Which bit of 'medieval'? You've got plenty of choice in the Bristol area.

For 'early' you've got Regia (Viking, Saxon and Norman) for 'high' you've got Conquest and for 'late' you've got Company of Chivalry and Kyngs Ordnanc (the latter being WOTR artillery).

Hi Morrigan

The Company of Chivalry are based in the Bristol area. We are having issues with our website but you can some idea of what we do from our Wiki page and my blog:

Hi Morrigan

We are across the Severn in South Wales. Our website will give you an idea of what we do, but briefly we portray 1340 to 1420. Families, couples and singles are more than welcome. We have fighters, archers and living history.

I would be pleased to have a chat if you are interested.

Regards
Ann

Thank you everyone for informations.
Matt -I know I was not very precise. Mostly I am interested in early and high medieval.
Unfortunately, I am very limited when it comes to transport, because I am not driving. Or maybe there is someone from Portishead area?

Whilst lack of transport can be a problem it needn't be an insurmountable one. I don't drive but manage to get to quite a few events by train. Most groups usually have spare seats in cars as well.
