Have been out of the re-enactment scene for a number of yrs since the group I belonged to folded when Cossie shut its gates to re-enacters. Now seriously considering taking it backup.

I live in Cardiff and would like to know if anyone know any groups that re-enact the Hundred Years War period based in south east Wales.

Hello Gareth

The Freemen of Gwent are based in South Wales, with members in Newport, Cardiff, Bridgend, Neath, Hereford, Worcestershire and further afield.

We re-enact the period 1350 to 1420, with a living history camp and with fighters. A family group with children from 8 to 16, we also welcome singles and those without children too. Archers, men at arms and non combatants are equally welcome.

PM me if you need more information, or if you want to see us in action we are at Hampton Court Castle, Hereford over this weekend, and at Chepstow Castle over the late Spring bank holiday.
