Tudor or ECW groups/regiments in Norfolk

Postby PatrickO » Fri Sep 03, 2010 3:27 pm

Hi folks,
Anyone know of any active Tudor or ECW groups or regiments that have members in Norfolk.

I'd like to do some living history and a bit of military.

Thanks, Patrick

Lunsford's in ECWS used to be mainly Norfolk-based.

We have quite a few of our members living in the Norfolk Area as well a myself in North Essex. We are with the Sealed Knot Society and believe it or not we are a highland regiment Sir William Gordons Regiment of Foote. There are also a number of Blew Regiment living in North Essex and Suffolk area.

I'm still considering a Tudor or 17th century impression in a couple of years' time (roundhead pikeman or possibly middling-sort civilian). While i'm aware they're not correct for many regiments, are there any ECW groups based in East Anglia that allow the use of infantry buff coats/jerkins (i'm planning to make one from 3mm leather offcuts) or portray dismounted cavalry/forlorn hope?
