for those interested in trying something new, I'm teaching some medeival embrodiery classes at the Ashmolean museum, Oxford. booking is on the net or via the oxford playhouse on 01865 305305

23rd May, basics of medieval goldwork
24th May, medieval border patterns in silk and gold
5th June, freehand Elizabethan blackwork, not all that relevant here, but I am teaching it
6th June, laid and couched work trees (bayeux tapestry stitch, done with veg dyed threads)
And the opus Anglicanum course is running again on the 27th June, 15th august, and26th September (three day course). more information on the styles being taught is at my blog.
