Early Napoleonic Gaitors

Postby Squire John » Fri Dec 27, 2013 12:21 am

Hi All,

This is more of a Cosplay thing but comes under Re-enacting for the item of clothing I am looking for.

I'm wanting to Cosplay as John Hurt's War Doctor from the Doctor Who 50th anniversary, now the Doctor in it is wearing a pair of 18th Century Infantry Gaiters. Where would I be able to find a pair in the UK that ISN'T on Ebay, can I buy them pre-made or do they have to be tailored to my legs?

cheers :)

SJ seamstress, http://www.sj-seamstress.com/MilitaryLegwear.htm

'Less you like them Nora Batty style it'd be best to get them fitted, at least have the buttons placed so they fit your leg properly.
