Postby Shadowcat » Wed Apr 21, 2010 1:51 pm

Can anyone point me to sources for "Saxon" clothing, please? Or someone who can advise me?

Not being funny early Saxon ie migration or later on stuff

Heaps of references but 600 years of history

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

I don't know!! Asking on behalf of a friend. I'll get back to you with more details, if she knows them.

Thanks Nige

Thank you - I couldn't remember the title of this book, although I knew of it!

Cloth And Clothing in Early Anglo-Saxon England, AD 450-700 (CBA Research Reports), Penelope Rogers (Author)

Covers the material earlier than Owen-Crocker

And feel free to ping me off list if there are specific questions.

Thanks Nathan. Waiting for her to get back to me with specific dates. No immediate rush for answers fortunately.
