Patterns for hose

Post by Marcus Woodhouse »

Does anyone recommend a pattern or indeed have one for making joined hose (15th century ones with or without feet)?

Medieval Taylor is your friend my friend
There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

It is a fine book indeed, but I only want the one pattern for one of the periods it covers. But thanks all the same. Hope all is well.

I think we have now settled upon taking apart an old pair of mine that have been retired thanks to my daughter using them (God alone knows how she mamaged to knacker in one season hose that have fitted me like a glove for three but there you go.) Ah well, I never really liked the colour that much to be honest.

Many thanks to all. My wife has now made a dummy pair and a real pair which she is now finishing off (a lovely salmon pink).
