Perhaps we should start a library service?

Postby Marcus Woodhouse » Sat Feb 10, 2007 1:14 pm

In response to MJ and others, perhaps we should try to work out how we could loan out resources of books to each other through the LH forum. Any ideas how we would go about it?

On another forum I am a member of.

A book that is no longer needed is passed onto another member on the understanding that when that member has finished the book it is passed on to another and so on …………..

Seems to work quite well so far. Of cause if you are anything like me your books are treasures. But it IS a good idea.

Chrisanson,

That sounds like a good idea, however hoarders like myself seldom pass anything on, so that may fail.

Marcus,

Would you could do is start a thread with a list of those books you may be willing to pass on/or lend and request a moderator to make it a sticky...

Or even better, when a bok is recommended, list enough info to make it easy to get on interlibrary loan, that way nobody is posting often heavy or rare books here there and everywhere, and anyone interested can ask their library for it :D
