Tom Mangold and John Penycate. Pan Books 1986, isbn 0-330-29191-2.
Written following a BBC documentary this is an examination of the remarkable war that was fought underneath the jungle of Vietnam. A series of interviews with tunnel fighters from the PLAF and the so called tunnel rats amongst the US. Written by journalists rather than historians the style is sometimes flowery and over dramatic. It does largely avoid bias towards either side, both come out as being equally brave and brutal.
Anything with a vague historical bent
