The Anglo-Martian War of 1895. Mike Brunton with illustrations by Alan Lathwell. Osprey publications 2015, isbn 978-1-4728-1156-1
What if HGWells had been writing a genuine report of a Martian invasion rather then science fiction.
That is the premise of this Osprey Adventure (with a nod towards Quatermass and the Pit and Iron Skies). So everything that you would expect from a traditional campaign series book is here, but with the twist that one side is alien and the whole account is make believe.
Having said that I found this to be one of the best organised and researched Osprey books I have read in recent months!
