Gordon L. Rottman, illustration by Howard Gerrard. Osprey publications, 2007. ISBN 978-1-84603-126-7.
Part of the Warrior series and written by a former Green Beret who fought against them, this is a useful guide to just about every aspect of the Viet Cong, from recruitment to tactics to death or capture, albeit in a very condensed manner.
The photos are of a good quality (I especially like one of VC employing a MG 34 on its anti-aircraft mount) and the illustrations clear. Bought for my son who portrays VC/NVA at events with Rolling Thunder, he plans to use it as a reference guide. As such it certainly was worth the purchase.
