Gordon Kerr. Old Castle Books (pocket essentials), isbn 978-1-84344-213-4, published 2015.
Exactly what it says, a short 149 page long, primer on the course of the two wars fought during the 20th century in that troubled region.
I have found that in common with many re-enactors, my new friends can explain in detail what they are wearing, how their weapons work, how the war was fought, etc, without having a knowledge of what went on and why. I am hoping that I can as I have no plans to actually fight in their skirmishes and so on and unlike my son have not got an encyclopedic insight into every Kalashnikov variant.
A short history of the Vietnam war.
