Schola Cantorum of Oxford dorected by Jermey Summerly, Naxos Early Music 1992.
Recorded in the Chapel of New College with amazing clarity and feeling this album features the early baroque work of Duarte Lobo and Manuel Cardoso (both active in the 1620's). The Missa pro Defunctis has always been a keen inspiration for catholic musicams and composers, and I hugely enjoyed these two versions. Very powerful.
