Be interested to hear what people think of this. Haven't seen much myself, but it looks just too general to be really good. I was however quite surprised at the reviews in the radio times - I know they're often rude about stuff, but that was exceptional

it was interesting, but glossed over so much. An hour's programme covered hundreds of years. Would have been nice to see more of the history involved. And not sure why we had soundbites from actors. That seemed a bit bizarre.

It's interesting certainly, but hardly detailed. The first episode was just the Romans (48 AD - 400 AD) and then we jumped a full 600 years to the Normans (1066 - 1415). What about the Anglo Saxons? The Vikings? Danegeld? The reasons for the Norman invasion.

Sky, Atlantic and sky one,
Fort I'd be careful as apparently they use reanactors,
Kit doesn't seem great clothes or weapons, history is vague, there guest speakers don't really have a clue and so far missing big chunks, hoping it gets better but doubting it lol
