Oliver Bowden, Penguin Books (listen you can buy it in supermarkets and forecourts up and down the land do you really need a ISBN?)
Like the later episodes of Planet of the Apes this sees a gore fest turn strangley philispohical and weirdly touching. Don't know what the gamers who actualy play the game its based upon would make of it, I don't know as I have never even gone near it so can't compare. The action moves away from renaissance Italy to Ottoman Turkey and also travels back in time to the start of the "game" history. It helped pass the time while I was in the cold waiting to get into the Da Vinci expo on at the National Gallery at the weekend.
Anything with a vague historical bent
