This was first published in 1985, and it's been reprinted six times since (at least - it was six up to the copy I got hold of).
I found it very informative, especially about battles of the Wars of the Roses. There are also chapters on Archers at Hastings, Robin Hood and Agincourt. One disappointment (though the book is only a general overview) was a lack of information about Wales. However, I found it well worth reading, and recommend it to any medieval archers out there.

I totally agree! Add to Robert Hardys Longbow tome as an essential read.
