Black Death

Postby knight1066 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 11:09 am

Heres word on a new movie starring Sean Bean called "BLACK DEATH"
Released on May 28th in cinemas this may be worth a look......or not?

I know nothing about the film except it is a medieval horror movie probably set in the 14th century about a group of Knights who accompany a monk on a quest to discover why a certain village is untouched by the plague....hence the title "Black death"

What with Nicolas Cage's new movie "SEASON OF THE WITCH", "ROBIN HOOD" and "IRONCLAD" soon to be released and the Viking movie "VALHALLA RISING" getting it's dvd release this month. It looks like we can get the popcorn out, settle down and critisise the authenticity of all these medievally set movies to our hearts content...

And Toy Story 3 is out in July.

I know what I'm looking forward to.

Robin Hood looks like it might be worth a watch; ok, some kit is off, but they have done research on some of the additional characters from the period. And it's Ridley Scott.

Ironclad looks horrendous kit-wise, butr it does have Brian Cox, and it is rare that he makes a bad film.

Season of the Witch and Black Death; not too bothered.

Toy Story 3 is a cert - and for next month, Iron Man 2.

An entertaining round up of 'IronClad'

Fortunately, I know sod all about the correctness of kit for this period so I'll give it an unbiased watch.
From a Pure entertainment movie POV, Trailer doesn't look half bad.
