Director’s Notes
Wounded was not only made as a stand-alone film but also to convince others that a quality
action film can be produced in Australia on a limited budget and still appeal to a worldwide
While I love many Australian films I feel they can alienate international audiences by setting
them in Australia, with Australian stories, humour and accents. It has been proven time and time again that while international audiences love the “Aussie” accent they unfortunately won’t pay $15 to hear it. I believe there are more than enough talented actors and crew members in Australia to make something the world will watch.
The “Wounded” feature follows three soldier’s struggle to survive as they’re hunted down in an enemy infested forest. Set amidst epic events of the Hundred Years War it’s punctuated with great drama and dynamic action throughout. It is a story that will draw an audience in quickly, keep them guessing and coming back for more.
I am now looking for investors and producers to view the short film, read the feature screenplay and come onboard to help us produce the ‘Wounded’ feature film and distribute it to a worldwide audience.
