Watched it for the first time tonight...ended up switching to "You've been framed" couldn’t really tell the difference between the two programmes...

Sorry to say-fantasy or not…what a terrible programme…pure Am Dram


Really wished this was something special..but it aint. :cry:

Totally agree and much the same as that other BBC tripe ROBIN HOOD.

At least the BBC got it half right with the TUDORS in that the costumes and sets were fairly true to period although the storyline left a lot to be desired.

I must be.....!! Tudor period is not my period as you can see from my screen name, but the costumes looked okay to me. What I perhaps should have said was the costumes were nearer in look to the period depicted than the atrocious costumes in ROBIN HOOD, especially those on the garrison soldiers in Nottingham.

It grew on me too. Still wouldn't go out of my way to watch it but the cast are entertaining enough and, if you ignore anything you may have thought about Authurian legend, it's far better than Robin Hood . If they could work on the plots a little more though, that would be good.
