Books about C15th Nuns. - Recommendations

Postby Vez » Wed Jul 16, 2008 9:16 am

As I'm going to be dressing as a nun I thought Id better do some reading about them.
Ive got some general histories but wondered if any one knew of any good 'day / year in the life type books. If they are specifically about Cluniac's even better. I'm basing the whole persona on a nun from Delapre Abbey as relating to the Battle of Northampton.

Anything by Eileen Powers is good (although usually about Beneictine Nuns) the down side is that the books are sometimes out of print and therefore a little difficult to obtain - but worth the hassle

Most of what I learned, I can't remember and most of what I remember, I can't use!
