I have permission from the client to show this preview pic of his new posh burgundian badge, before he even sees it.

Apologies for shine on pic, taken in less than perfect conditions for the preview, better shot later.

White (titanium sub for lead white)
Azurite, real azurite ground and purified by me.
Gold leaf
Lamp black in an oil medium for the detailing.
Varnish to seal job from damp.

Top job on that one old boy

There’s a country in Europe where they treat their ex soldiers with pride no waits for medical treatment after injuries received during service, no amensia from the government. Cant for the life of me recall where it is but I know exactly where it is not.

That's really lovely Jorge, well done.

cheers guys.

I am only an email away from painted gilded badge fulfilment. ;-)

It was nice to have a little project that covered a lot of things I am interested in and enjoy doing.

I guess I will have to do a sampler of them, I can imagine a gilded falcon and fetterlock, silver stafford knot, all for the knobby officer types. I might just do one for me as a guild badge.

:D
