Recreating the "Mystery Object"

Post by Ganderwick »

As some of you might know, I'm gradually recreating some of the Staffordshire Hoard finds.

Part one of "Mystery object" is now complete, my next task is to create the bottom piece as it would have been and not in it's current mangled state. The bead in the centre was my first try at glass fusing and I'm really pleased with the result.
Here's the pic, plus a link to the blog where they are discussing what it might be - I'm sure they'd welcome any suggestions or insights http://www.staffordshirehoard.org.uk/my ... uggestions

Here's the orginal -

It's King Raedwald's butt plug!

Incredible work as ever Dave.
