Tawny for the background.
Figuring, different tones of the tawny plus highlights.
Boar - azurite blue - ground by me from Greenland and Game azurite, plus indigo for darks.

Very pleased with it but I would not want to carry it too far! As you suggested I plan to add a handle - not sure yet if I'll go for a forged iron one or leather. A mate took some pics at Bosworth but has not sent me copies yet. I'll post some if suitable.

Leather/rawhide not entirely sure. So long as it's rigid and will hold its shape.
